Albany Civil Rights Institute
The Albany Civil Rights Institute is a museum and research center that includes the rehabilitated Old Mount Zion Baptist Church, which was home to the Albany Movement supported by the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the NAACP and the Congress for Racial Equality. The institute includes exhibits, interactive displays, a digital oral history database and a resource library that tells the story of life in Georgia before and during the Civil Rights Movement
Albany Museum of Art
The Albany Museum of Art has multiple galleries and hosts numerous exhibitions throughout the year. These exhibitions showcase nationally and internationally recognized artists, with one space dedicated as a regional artist sales gallery.
Nationally accredited with a growing collection, including an impressive collection of 19th and 20th Century American and European art, the museum also houses one of the largest collections of traditional African art in the Southeast outside of a university setting.
All American Fun Park

Jimmy Carter National Historical Park
The Jimmy Carter National Historical Park preserves sites associated with Jimmy Carter, 39th president of the United States. These include his residence, boyhood farm, school, and the town railroad depot, which served as his campaign headquarters during the 1976 election.
Marks Melon Patch
Just outside of Sasser, Georgia this famous roadside farm market is well known for the freshest produce around! For the past 30 years, families from across the state and country have visited the Highway 82 roadside market for their delicious fresh fruits, vegetables, and their family fun atmosphere.

Radium Springs Garden
One of Georgia’s Seven Natural Wonders, Radium Springs Gardens pumps 70,000 gallons per minute of clear, 68-degree water from an underground cave. Strike Zone 10 is a bowling center with arcade games, an event room & dining area. The bowling ally has 10 lanes and the arcade features more than 25 games.
Sylvester Splash Park
The Splash Pad is a great way to cool down in the summer heat!
The area is equipped with picnic tables for small parties to enjoy. The park is open from May to September from 10 am to 8 pm.
T.C. Jeffords Park
T.C. Jeffords Park is located in the middle of Sylvester. It offers public pickleball courts, a basketball court, reservable pavilions, a dog run, and a playground. Several annual events also take place in T.C. Jeffords Park.
Thronateeska Heritage Center
Home to the Wetherbee Planetarium, the Georgia Museum of Surveying and Mapping, local history and science museums with interactive exhibits, a historic railway exhibit with a model train display and the South Georgia Archives, Thronateeska has something for everyone’s entertainment, enrichment and enjoyment. The historic Fryer-Merritt House built in the 1800’s serves as business offices for the Center. Located in Heritage Plaza, on the last brick street in Albany, Thronateeska is also home to one of the oldest train depots in Georgia.
